Rocky Tung of the Financial Development Council (FSDC) said: Investor protection is always a top priority even as people seek better returns in uncertain markets. He added that all hedge funds are different, there are good ones, some mediocre ones, and some bad ones. They take uncalculated risks. So we need to make sure that investors don't fully touch the last one. But I think investors should be allowed more exposure to those hedge funds when there's a huge demand for investment managers who manage huge sums of money and they've built a very strong track record. When investor education reaches a certain threshold, these investments become well known to investors. Or that would be the time when these alternative investments should become more widespread and accessible to the market.
