CATL has obtained the world's first access certificate under the new regulations of the European Economic Commission
Recently, CATL was awarded the world's first European Economic Commission R100.03 power battery system certificate by the German Ministry of Transport.
International standards and regulations play a crucial role in improving the safety of power batteries worldwide. Regulation No. 100 issued by the Economic Commission for Europe is an internationally recognized general requirement applicable to the electrical safety of electric vehicles. The 03 series of amendments to this regulation came into force in June 2021.
The new regulations put forward higher requirements for the power battery system, adding safety risk specifications such as Electrical safety, mechanical safety, environmental safety and functional safety. Starting from September 1, 2023, power battery systems exported to member countries of the Economic Commission for Europe must pass this certification.
